What is the difference between the cell membrane and cytoplasm in an animal cell?

I am making an edible cell for a project and I was going to use jello as sort of the wall, but I thought the cell membrane was kind of like it's wall. So what is the cytoplasm then??

Help please!

Also, any ideas for what to use on an edible animal cell? What is the difference between the cell membrane and cytoplasm in an animal cell?
The cytoplasm is kinda like the blood of the cell. It brings nutrients and stuff to the different parts. I would maybe suggest honey for cytoplasm? something liquid. Hope I helped :)What is the difference between the cell membrane and cytoplasm in an animal cell?
Cytoplasm is the inner viscous (jelly like) substance. it is the medium in which the different parts of the cell are present.

for making edible cytoplasm you should definitely use something viscous or jelly like. nice idea is jello, honey even cream

Cell membrane is the envelope around the cell it is like the skin of the skin. it is the outermost layer of the cell.

for making edible u can use biscuits.... like make a boundary. What is the difference between the cell membrane and cytoplasm in an animal cell?
The cell membrane is like a layer that separates the inside of the cell(cytoplasm) from the outside world -- maybe you could use the jello as cytoplasm and frosting to be the membrane.
