ok, i'm a boy in 9th grade..theres this girl i like. I have known her for a week, the first 3 days it didnt seem like she even noticed me..the last two days i was in a group thing with her and english and then i sat next to her in computer and we talked and it seemed like maybe she thought i was cute or something..and she gave me her cell phone number. we texted for about 2 days ..the first day i texted her and the second she texted me...the day she texted me she also asked me if i liked anyone at school i said yes, then she said "who is it (she named a few girls...one of which was her best friend). i said no...then she said "why not shelby (her best friend) i think you two would make a great couple..and i said "because i like someone else" and she asked who and i said it was her...then she said "oh.alright..i dont really know what to say"...then we talked for about another 15 min and she said she had to go....now...i realize i said this too soon and am rushing things...what i want to know is if by "why not shelby...i think you two would make a good couple"...did she mean that or was she just trying to make it less awkward or something?..does it mean she doesnt like me or...?Does this girl like me when she said me and her friend would make a good couple?

Try getting a mutual friend to talk to her. It might help.
Okay, I'm going to be completely honest with you. Her friend liked you and she was trying to hook you up with her friend. Even if she did take some interest in you it wouldn't matter now because her friend saw you in the light first. Or, at least admitted first. So, I'm sorry but it's not going to work with that other girl unless she is a bad friend?
