Okay what exactly is it. Can you text your friends on their cell phones or what? I'm confusedWhat can you do on a yahoo messanger?
On the full desktop download version of Messenger, you can chat or text to other computers or phones, make video and sound calls, and make PC-to-PC voice calls for free. You can also send and receive files and photos.

If you use Internet Explorer 8 or 9 as your browser, Yahoo Messenger 10 or 11 will not work properly without updated Flash and Java programs also installed, and possibly the .NET framework update.
