Biology: What is a cell cycle?

Cell Cycle is the growth cycle of a cell it has 4 phases


G1 phase - where all the primary metabolites are synthesized


followed by


S phase - where the DNA replication takes place


then


G2 phase where the secondary metabolites are synthesized


followed by the cell division called mitosis (meiosis happens esp in germ cells)


after the cell division again the cell progress to G1 phase
